We warmly invite you to Hungary's first tufting shop and workshop location in Budapest (1188 Budapest, Dózsa György utca 1/B)
During our courses, we will guide you through the entire carpet-making process—from stretching the base fabric and disassembling the machine to finishing the edges of the rug with a needle. We will project your designed rug onto the fabric, and after drawing it, the fun begins! By participating in the course, you will also receive exclusive Tufting Világ discounts on base fabrics, backing felts, and wool yarns.
2-Day Course:
Day 1:
- The course starts on Saturday at 12:00 PM and lasts until around 6:00 PM at our Felsőpakony showroom, according to the scheduled dates. The duration of the course depends on the complexity of your chosen rug design, so the exact end time may vary.
- Theoretical training based on our comprehensive tufting knowledge base, which you will receive in printed form for future reference. We will assist you throughout the entire process and answer any questions you may have.
- Introduction to and disassembly of the tufting machine to address any future issues (e.g., blade misalignment, blade replacement, thread length adjustment).
- Stretching the fabric onto an 80 x 80 cm wooden frame, from which you will create a rug approximately 60 x 60 cm.
- Projector-assisted drawing.
- Selection from 104 tufting acrylic yarn colors.
- Rug tufting with continuous help and supervision.
- Gluing with liquid latex adhesive, followed by attaching the backing material. Thanks to the water resistance of the latex, your rug will be washable.
- The first day ends here, as the adhesive needs 6-12 hours to dry.
Day 2:
- On the second day, Sunday, we start at 10:00 AM and finish around 2:00 PM.
- Cutting the rug from the frame and trimming the edges.
- First, we trim the surface to make it even, then delve deeper into the trimming process. We will cut along the contours and color changes for a cleaner finish.
- After trimming, we sew the edges with a rug sewing needle, which you will receive as a gift to give your future rugs a polished finish.
- You will receive a certificate of completion, which you can proudly display on your wall at home or in your workshop.
