Welcome to the Tufting Világ Workshops!

Are you ready to dive into the enchanting world of rug making? Our rug-making workshops are just for you!

Our goal is to introduce you to the wonderful tufting technique of rug making while you create your own unique and visually stunning rug.

No prior experience or special skills are required—our workshops are open to everyone, from beginners to advanced participants!

We provide all the tools you need, so just come and enjoy yourself!

What Pattern to Choose?

For your first session, choose a simpler design with a few color shades. Avoid intricate patterns and text. If you need ideas, here are a few! If you still need help, feel free to reach out; we're happy to assist!

Booking:

To book, select the workshop/course that interests you and choose the date on the right. You can also opt for in-person cash payment if that’s more convenient for you! After booking confirmation, we will contact you during the workshop/course week to discuss your rug pattern and other details.

We warmly welcome you to our tufting shop in Budapest (1188 Budapest, Dózsa György utca 1/B, 2nd building behind Joe Bácsi restaurant), which also serves as the venue for our courses and workshops. Free parking is available on the surrounding streets or at the Pestszentimre railway station. We'll be waiting for you with refreshments, coffee, and some delicious pogácsa, of course.

2-Day Courses

If you wish to dive deeper into rug making, our 1 and 2-day courses are for you! These weekend courses accommodate up to 4 participants. Both start with 1-2 hours of theoretical instruction. A tufting knowledge base will assist you with all discussed topics and additional tips, so you don’t need to worry about note-taking. We help you from start to finish and answer any questions. The first day (Saturday) runs from 12:00 PM to approximately 6:00 PM, up to the gluing phase. You’ll create a ~60 x 60 cm rug from a 80 x 80 cm wooden frame using 104 different shades of acrylic tufting yarn. We’ll complete the gluing for you, as it requires 10-12 hours to dry. For the 2-day course, the second day (Sunday) will continue with edge cutting, trimming, and stitching, which takes about 4-5 hours. Successful completion of the 2-day course earns you a Tufting Course Certificate and a free rug needle for finishing your future rugs.

Want to create a unique gift?

Join our tufting fun workshops where, in just a few hours, you’ll create fluffy, unique rugs based on your ideas in an inspiring environment. You’ll use 104 different shades of acrylic tufting yarn to make a rug approximately 60 x 60 cm. We’ll complete the gluing for you, and you can pick up your rug a few days later at our showroom or have it shipped.

Individual Instruction

We offer personalized individual instruction. With prior arrangement, we can schedule sessions on weekdays from 6 PM in Felsőpakony. If weekdays are not suitable, we can also find an available weekend day. The cost depends on the process you wish to master and the number of working hours required.

Hourly Rate: 10,000 HUF/hour + materials used
